County Materials is proud to announce that Steve Hoesing, President of our Pipe, Precast, & Prestress division, has just been named the 116th Chairman of the Board of the American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA). As chairman, Hoesing will lead the ACPA Executive Committee and serve a one-year term.
Hoesing has been in the concrete pipe industry for 45 years, serving in different capacities from production and operations to sales and management. He has served four years on the Executive Committee and has helped the industry navigate the challenges of consolidation, increased competition, a changing workforce, and new environmental regulations.
“To serve the ACPA as chairman is an incredible honor and I am deeply humbled by this opportunity,” Hoesing says.
While serving on the Executive Committee, Hoesing helped ACPA host the largest Pipe School event in the association’s history, expand the association’s education programs, and develop a new brand more reflective of the people and products that make up the association.
“Moving ahead, we want to build on this momentum as we position ourselves to take a leadership role in helping to shape and ensure compliance to pending environmental regulations,” Hoesing says.
As an ACPA member, County Materials is dedicated to building sustainable communities by manufacturing reliable concrete pipe that will serve as a long-term solution for storm water management systems and drainage concerns. We are proud of the work Hoesing is doing to support the advancement of our industry and grateful for his leadership.
