Crew members with Nation One Landscaping in New Lenox, IL, will be taking a well-deserved vacation in Cancun, Mexico next January, courtesy of County Materials Corporation.
Nation One is the winner of County Materials’ 2015 Dream Driveway Challenge., The contest was open to all professional landscape contractors who install County Materials’ paving products for residential and commercial driveway projects.. Nation One Landscaping is a full-service landscaping company servicing Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana since 2000.
Nation One’s project was chosen last October by a panel of landscape industry professionals as the best of eight entries that showcase innovation, beauty and sustainability in the use of hardscape products.
The driveways, all over 1,500 sq. ft., were judged for overall excellence of design, creativity, functionality, selection and quality of materials, installation techniques, craftsmanship and finished appearance.
Nation One’s winning project is a 7000 sq. ft. horseshoe-shaped residential driveway located in the Chicago area. The driveway features County Materials’ Tranquility Pavers® inlaid with geometric patterns that coordinate with architectural features of the home. The project also includes coordinating front steps, a walkway, and backyard patio. “The client has an opulent, European-chic taste and (County Materials’ products) are a perfect fit and the right quality for the project,” says Tim Dutton, Project Foreman for Nation One.
First prize for the Challenge is a 7-day trip for 4 to a luxury resort in Cancun, Mexico. “I’m taking a couple members of my team because they did such a great job. We’re very excited,” says Dutton. Nation One will also be featured on County Materials’ website and in promotional materials throughout the year.
