County Materials Contributes to Construction of a Central Outdoor Training Facility for Three Communities

The Lisbon, Bark River, and Pewaukee Fire Departments are involved in a joint project to construct a central training facility for the three communities. Part of the project involves site improvements, including an outdoor training area which requires a retaining wall. County Materials Corporation contributed to the construction of the outdoor facility by donating nearly 400 units of Tribute® Retaining Wall System.

The central training facility will be available to all three communities and will be the center for hands on training for firefighters. The indoor and outdoor facilities will have many stationary props to maintain the proficiency and level of expertise needed to perform in emergency situations. The site in Lisbon was selected because it is centrally located and can easily be used by all the neighboring communities.

“I am very grateful and want to thank County Materials for this retaining wall block donation to our training site project that will support surrounding communities,” said Lisbon Fire Department Chief Douglas Brahm. “This material gift will extend our ability in creating our site and begin using it sooner than planned. The capability of our firefighters to keep proficient in emergency skills is paramount in the delivery of our services.”
