County Materials Helps Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen Feed the Hungry

Written by Admin | Aug 24, 2022

Since 2008, The Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen has provided free meals to anyone who walks through their doors in Greenfield, Indiana. Volunteers were inspired by Kenneth Butler, a former fire chief who also helped those in need, so they named the organization in his honor. The building was remodeled and is run by volunteers who prepare two nutritious meals a day, Monday through Friday. More than 130 meals are served daily, and sack lunches are available on weekends.

Through the Sonnentag Foundation, County Materials supports dozens of charitable organizations in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Member & Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
