Salvation Army Grace Place provides short-term housing and support for individuals and families who have nowhere else to turn for help. Each year, the emergency shelter provides more than 15,000 nights of shelter to individuals in the St. Croix County community facing unforeseen financial crises.
The shelter also offers individual case management and educational services that empower families and individuals to manage their finances, obtain stable employment, and improve their health.
“Our Case Managers are helping to guide clients by encouraging them on their path to independence and permanent housing," says Duana Bremer, director of Grace Place.
County Materials, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, supports dozens of worthy organizations and causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
