The Gateway to Wisconsin is a vital corridor that connects many midwestern cities, from Chicago to Minneapolis. In 2019, the area underwent construction to improve safety and accommodate increased traffic demands. The expansive project outlined the reconstruction of 11 interchanges and the addition of over 10 miles of stormwater infrastructure. Project leaders relied on County Materials to supply 51,180 LF of reinforced concrete pipe, 4,285 LF of horizontal elliptical pipe and over 1,040 precast components, including apron end walls, round manholes and square manholes to meet the project’s aggressive construction schedule.
