Alternatives, Inc. is nonprofit organization in Central Indiana that works to eliminate domestic and sexual violence through education, prevention, and intervention. Trained staff work with survivors to draft safety plans, arrange temporary housing, and provide the support and resources needed to successfully escape abuse. The organization offers programming for children that focuses on establishing high self-esteem, enhancing school performance, and forming healthy relationships. Alternatives, Inc. extends its services to the community, providing professional trainings, education sessions, employment trainings, dating violence prevention, and other workshops catered to survivors and supporters.
County Materials, through the Sonnentag Foundation, partners with Alternatives, Inc. to help survivors gain a renewed sense of confidence and independence. This year, in celebration of our company’s 75th anniversary, County Materials is committed to share 75 Stories of Impact, featuring organizations that receive funding from the Sonnentag Foundation and are part of the communities where we have locations.
