County Materials partners with The Women’s Community to provide specialized services and resources to people in central Wisconsin affected by sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, and human trafficking.
The organization aims to help affected individuals and families gain greater emotional and economic self-sufficiency. They do this through support groups for domestic abuse or sexual assault, confidential counseling and shelter, sexual assault services, services for youth and children, and legal assistance with civil, parenting, and criminal issues.
The Women’s Community provides advocacy services for more than 14,000 individuals, including 6,717 nights in a shelter, 105 educational presentations with over 7,000 attendees, 30,000 people attending public awareness events, and 1,461 in-person services. Thanks to support from various community partnerships and sponsors, the organization continues to provide free food, shelter, clothing, counseling, and confidential services to all clients. The Women’s Community makes a positive impact by listening to people’s stories, supporting them as they deal with their challenges, and working to help them transform their lives.
County Materials, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, supports dozens of worthy organizations and causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
