Turningpoint for Victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence has been an ally to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse for more than 40 years. The organization was founded as a crisis line and safe house program and has since evolved into the first and only crisis shelter in Pierce and St. Croix Counties. Turningpoint offers safety, support, and strength through shelter, legal system support, and violence prevention education.
Turningpoint also operates the Second Chances Thrift Store in downtown River Falls, WI. Victims of violence receive vouchers to obtain items from Second Chances. The thrift store is open to the public and operated by volunteers. All proceeds from the store go to Turningpoint and the services they offer.
County Materials is proud to partner with Turningpoint for Victims of Sexual Assault to empower and provide resources to survivors. Through the Sonnentag Foundation, our company supports dozens of charitable organizations and causes in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Military Personnel & Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
