County Materials recently sponsored a student scholarship recipient from the National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) Foundation. The recipient, Ian Undergurger, worked with Scott Boma, Regional Manager for County Materials, toured County Materials’ Maxwell, IN production facility, and learned how to prepare for a career in the concrete construction industry. Because of Boma’s sponsorship, Undergurger was then selected to receive one of the 2019 NCPA Foundation Scholarships. He will be attending the University of Cincinnati.
“County Materials provided Ian with a great introduction to the precast industry,” said Andi Pierce NPCA Foundation Coordinator. “We are so appreciative for County Materials’ sponsorship of Ian for the NPCA Foundation’s scholarship program.”
In 2019, The NPCA Foundation awarded scholarships to a total of eight undergraduate students and one graduate student pursuing studies related to civil engineering, architecture and construction-related curricula. The scholarships provide financial aid and increase students’ awareness of the many benefits precast concrete products can provide the specifying community.
County Materials’ sponsorship of a student in the construction field demonstrates how the company supports its Vision of Success, Stability, and Support.
