The Amy Schultz Child Advocacy Center was founded in 1990 by Dennis Schultz in memory of his daughter Amy, who was abducted, sexually assaulted, and murdered. The center supports survivors of child abuse and provides preventative education to help children identify the warning signs and who they can ask for help.
The organization and their partners are the front-line responders to reports of sexual and physical abuse of children. They provide a safe place for children to share their story, surrounded by experts who will listen, protect, and help them heal. Professional, trained staff work together to provide intervention, prevention, education, and advocacy to children who have experienced abuse.
In 2013, the “Body Boundaries” program was developed by the Amy Schultz Advocacy Center. The sexual prevention program is offered throughout the school year to all grade levels, from preschool to high school. Children and their adult role models are becoming more aware of where to report an abuse crisis. They are finding their voice and reaching out for help.
