The Brown County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team is a specialty unit that responds to emergencies and criminal incidents involving bodies of water. Each member of the team is scuba certified and trained in the following types of diving: emergency response, evidence collection, lift and salvage, and underwater explosive searches.
County Materials donated 40 LF of reinforced concrete pipe to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team to support lift and salvage trainings. The concrete pipes, which range from 36” to 42” in diameter, were placed underwater to simulate salvage scenarios. Divers will swim through the pipes and deploy lift bags to raise them to the surface.
Concrete pipe is ideal for emulating emergency response and retrieval scenarios, as it maintains its structural integrity in challenging environments and is resistant to rot and corrosion.
County Materials is proud to partner with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team to enhance training opportunities and support lifesaving services.
