County Materials Supports the Next Generation of Craftworkers

Written by Admin | Aug 1, 2025

The Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers District Council of Wisconsin represents craftworkers in the trowel trades across the state. The organization offers a comprehensive apprenticeship program which provides hands-on training and mentorship. Members of the program also benefit from ongoing training, educational opportunities, and safety courses to keep their skills up-to-date.

County Materials supports the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers District Council’s commitment to training the next generation of skilled craftworkers. In a recent donation, we contributed materials that were used in the Madison and Milwaukee area apprenticeship contests.

Our support allowed students to use brand-new materials to build their projects, providing a real-world experience of craftwork. After the projects are judged, students tear down and clean the materials so they can be used for future learning projects.

Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, County Materials supports dozens of worthy organizations. We provide support in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Member & Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
