Custom Canines Service Dog Academy is a non-profit organization that raises, trains and places service dogs with individuals with disabilities and military veterans. Custom Canines introduced their “Heroes for Heroes” initiative in 2013 and placed their very first dog for veterans within the Wisconsin National Guard in Madison, WI. Falcon, a black Labrador Retriever, is the on-site facility service dog within the WI National Guard, serving veterans in the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Division. Thanks to funding from the Sonnentag Foundation, Custom Canines continues to train and place highly skilled service dogs with disabled veterans and veterans with PTSD.
