County Materials partners with Turningpoint for Victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence to further their vision to end domestic and sexual violence in Wisconsin’s Pierce and St. Croix counties. The organization has been an ally to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse for nearly 40 years.
Founded as a crisis line and safe house, Turningpoint has grown to offer a 24-hour crisis shelter with counseling, legal advocacy, support groups, safety planning, violence prevention education, children’s programming, and emergency food and hygiene products. In addition to serving women and children, Turningpoint breaks the stigma and extends its services to men. Often an underserved population, 1 in 10 men experience sexual or domestic abuse in their lifetime.
County Materials, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, supports dozens of worthy organizations and causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
