County Materials partners with the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Rock County, Inc. to allow individuals to remain independent in their homes as they age. The organization seeks to enrich the lives of volunteers ages 55 and older through meaningful service opportunities that match their life skills and interests to community needs.
Volunteers provide phone assurance, friendly visitation, and respite relief to fellow seniors. One program, Vets Serving Vets, organizes transportation assistance for senior veterans. Drivers, who are veterans themselves, provide transportation to medical appointments, grocery stores, or other necessary appointments.
County Materials, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, supports local organizations and causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
