Helping Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen Eradicate Hunger in Greenfield, IN

On a mission to end hunger in the Greenfield community, the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen serves a free healthy meal to each person who walks through their doors, regardless of background or ability. The organization’s namesake, Fire Chief Kenneth Butler, dedicated his life to serving the community and causes that help area residents. Kenneth Butler is commonly recognized and remembered for his work to eradicate hunger and homelessness in Greenfield, IN.

As the soup kitchen prepared to open in 2009, it was decided the organization would be named after the beloved local hero. Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen operates through community support and volunteer staff.

Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, County Materials supports dozens of worthy organizations and causes in four key service areas, including Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Member & Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
