On a mission to end hunger in the Greenfield community, the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen serves a free healthy meal to each person who walks through their doors, regardless of background or ability. The organization’s namesake, Fire Chief Kenneth Butler, dedicated his life to serving the community and causes that help area residents. Kenneth Butler is commonly recognized and remembered for his work to eradicate hunger and homelessness in Greenfield, IN.
As the soup kitchen prepared to open in 2009, it was decided the organization would be named after the beloved local hero. Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen operates through community support and volunteer staff.
