Camp Hope is a retreat for military veterans injured in the War on Terror. County Materials partners with the organization in their mission to honor the fallen by helping the wounded. William “Mike” White and his wife Galia created Camp Hope as a tribute to their son Christopher, who was killed while serving in Iraq. Inspired by Chris’ passion for the outdoors, the White Family seeks to offer veterans of all abilities the opportunity to participate in outdoor activities like fishing, hunting, and hiking — at no cost. Located in the rolling hills of rural Missouri, Camp Hope provides a respite from daily life and the chance to connect face-to-face with other guests.
County Materials, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, supports local organizations and causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
