County Materials supports Lake Cares Food Pantry in their mission to provide food to residents who need assistance through seven satellite distribution sites throughout Lake County, Florida. Lake Cares is an independent community food pantry governed by a Board of Directors comprised of representatives from local businesses and residents who care about their mission.
With the help of committed volunteers, Lake Cares distributes more than 1.3 million pounds of food to 55,000 individuals each year. Lake Cares’ staff and volunteers empower people by treating them with dignity and compassion and offering stability.
Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, County Materials partners with Lake Cares to provide food and other necessary services directly to the people who need assistance. Each year, the Sonnentag American Foundation supports dozens of charitable organizations in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Member & Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
