County Materials was recognized as the manufacturer of concrete retaining wall units for a nationally honored project in the 2010 Hardscape North America Hardscape Project Awards. In its third year, the program named 18 award winners in a ceremony on October 30th held at the HNA trade show in Louisville, KY.
Also recognized was Paul's Landscaping, of Vesper, Wis., who was the contractor for the Lake Arrowhead Golf Club in Nekoosa, Wis. The project was selected as the winner in the Commercial Awards Category for segmental retaining wall projects of 1,000 to 10,000 square feet.
The HNA awards program is sponsored by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI), along with the Brick Industry Association and National Concrete Masonry Association. The program recognizes outstanding hardscape projects by contractors in residential and commercial/industrial applications. Roberto Nicolia, Chairman of the ICPI, says, "This awards program acknowledges some of the best hardscape installations in North America."
The club's new multipurpose patio features County Materials' Tribute® concrete retaining wall units in Canyon Brown, and Summit StoneTM tumbled concrete landscape units in Cedar Blend. Concrete hardscape products ensure lasting durability for the patio, and they minimize maintenance time and costs.
The serpentine terraced retaining walls create a raised patio and accommodate vibrant planting beds for a beautiful backdrop to the course. Patrons to the Lake Arrowhead Golf Club can now enjoy relaxing or dining outdoors.
