Ketchum’s Got Your Six promotes awareness of and provides assistance to Wisconsin veterans struggling with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. County Materials partners with the organization to raise funds to train service dogs and pair them with veterans. Ketchum’s Got Your Six was created to honor Marine veteran, Brandon Ketchum, who suffered from PTSD for many years and died by suicide in 2016.
Twenty-two Veterans die by suicide each day in the U.S. In the military, “Got your six” means “I’ve got your back” and “I’m looking out for you.” Ketchum’s family and friends are determined to change the sobering statistics around veteran suicide by reminding veterans that they’re not alone.
County Materials, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, partners with Ketchum’s Got Your Six and other local organizations to give back to our communities. Each year, the Sonnentag American Foundation supports dozens of worthy causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
