County Materials partners with the Education Foundation of Lake County to empower public education to inspire students and families in Florida’s Lake and Sumter Counties. The Education Foundation connects the community with public education to enhance instruction quality and ensure the success of high school students.
The organization supports student scholarships, mentors, teacher classroom grants, school supply distributions, Take Stock in Children, and teacher recognition initiatives. Take Stock in Children is a mentoring program designed to break the cycle of poverty for low-income, academically qualified students and provide opportunities for post-secondary education. Upon high school graduation, participating students can receive scholarships for any public college, university, or trade school in Florida. The Education Foundation of Lake County raises approximately $375,000 and impacts the lives of more than 15,500 students each year.
County Materials, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, targets support to worthy organizations like the Education Foundation. We partner with organizations that support individuals in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Members & Veterans Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
