Press Release: County Materials Corporation Congratulates Award-Winning Customers

Marathon, WI, March 26, 2013 – Six County Materials Corporation customers were among the recipients of the Wisconsin Masonry Alliance (WMA) 2013 Excellence in Hardscape Project Awards given February 21st, 2013 at the Wilderness Hotel in Wisconsin Dells.  The Excellence in Hardscape Project Awards recognize exemplary landscaping projects featuring concrete, clay and/or natural stone landscape products either produced or supplied by a member of the WMA. The WMA has sponsored the Excellence in Hardscape Project Awards since 2009.

The projects were judged by a panel of industry experts for overall excellence in innovation, beauty and sustainability in the use of hardscape products in landscaping. Awards were given in 17 categories, including both residential and commercial projects. 

The following six companies and designers received awards for projects manufactured or supplied by County Materials (See article titled "2013 WMA Excellence in Hardscape Project Awards" for photos).

Winning the Gold Award for Best Clay Paver Commercial Application over 2,500 square feet was Derick Dahlen of Pepin, WI for his paver installation at the Villa Bellezza Winery in Pepin, WI.

Silver Awards were awarded to Paul’s Landscaping of Vesper, WI for Best Pool Deck or Pool Surround Project at a Wisconsin Rapids, WI residence; Lawn-Tech of Antigo, WI for Best Specialty Wall Project at an Antigo, WI home; Sharper Edge Landscaping of DePere, WI for Best Structural Retaining Wall Application over 2,500 square feet (Ridge View Apartments, Waukesha, WI); and Mileager’s Landscape Design & Installation of Racine, WI for Best Outdoor Living/Kitchen Project over 1,000 square feet at a home in Caledonia, WI.

The Bronze Award for Best Residential Driveway Project went to Vistas Lawncare, LLC of Wausau, WI for a residence in Mosinee, WI.
