In response to growing tourism and business travel, a new Hilton Garden Inn was built in Wausau, WI. For the 60,000 SF parking lot, project leaders specified ready-mix concrete, which requires low maintenance over a long service life and reflects more light than asphalt, reducing the number of light poles needed to safely light the property. Oversized Rib Rock Landscape Block units, which prevent erosion and withstand freeze/thaw cycles, were also specified to build a retaining wall on the sloping property.
