County Materials partners with The Sojourner Family Peace Center, the largest nonprofit provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services in Wisconsin. The organization is challenging the traditional way of providing services to survivors and their families as one of the country’s first co-located child advocacy and family violence centers. Sojourner offers a single stop for families affected by domestic violence, providing all the services and support survivors need to attain safety and healing under one roof.
Sojourner provides lifesaving services that protect and empower over 11,800 people annually. The organization’s most utilized services are its 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, and Hope & Healing programs. In addition to helping survivors, Sojourner educates community members about domestic violence and available resources.
County Materials, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, partners with Sojourner to provide survivors a place to find peace. Each year, the Sonnentag American Foundation supports dozens of worthy organizations and causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
