Twice a year Easter Seals Wisconsin Camp Wawbeek in Wisconsin Dells, hosts a free Veterans Family Camp. The weekend camps offer veterans and their families an opportunity to relax, rejuvenate, and spend time with each other and with other veterans and their families. The weekends are designed to reconnect families with each other and create networking opportunities for veterans, all while having a fun and relaxing weekend. There is no charge for participants in the Veteran Family Camps and all the meals and lodging are provided. Many veterans and family members form support networks that provide lasting relationships throughout the year. Families are able to enjoy a variety of fully-accessible recreational activities including fishing, ropes course and zip line, sports, games, nature activities, arts and crafts, as well as trips to area attractions. The Veterans Family Camp is made possible by the support and contributions of volunteers, staff and donations from organizations like the Sonnentag Foundation.
