The County Materials Family of Companies is pleased to share that one of our team members recently received statewide recognition in a Wisconsin Ready Mixed Concrete Association (WRMCA) awards program.
Steve Konkol, a 31-year veteran mixer driver, was the Category 2 Winner in the 2025 WRMCA Driver of the Year program. Konkol is based in County Ready Mix’s plant located in Custer, Wisconsin.
Steve is known for his kindness, positive attitude, and integrity. His coworkers, who also nominated him for our County Champion Award in 2023, noted that he is a generous team player and a leader who takes time to mentor and train others and pass knowledge on.
County Ready Mix is proud to be a member of the WRMCA, a nonprofit organization committed to advancing the ready-mixed concrete industry in Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The organization works to strengthen the concrete industry through legislative advocacy, promotion of the industry, and education of the public about careers in ready-mixed concrete.
