Since 1946, the County Materials family of companies has provided stable and rewarding careers to veterans and service members. We value the technical and soft skills team members with military experience bring to our company, including teamwork, self-discipline, communication, and adaptability.
Join our growing team. We offer a variety of exclusive services, programs, and resources to team members who identify their military status. We are committed to supporting veterans and service members’ overall wellbeing and helping them build lifelong careers with our company.
Team members who identify their military status are eligible to receive discounts on retail products and services offered by local companies.
Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, the County Materials Family of Companies has developed close relationships with many organizations that provide services and support to current and former military members, including service dog training, workforce reentry assistance, housing assistance, and PTSD treatment services. We help our team members get connected with the organizations we support and other local groups to ensure their needs are met.
The County Materials Family of Companies fosters a culture of recognition by regularly celebrating team members' accomplishments through initiatives like Team Member Appreciation Week, Team Development Training, and the County Champion Award. Additionally, our military team members are eligible to receive special recognition and appreciation gifts from the company throughout the year during events such as Military Appreciation Month and Veterans Day.

Connecting with others who understand what it’s like to serve in the military can be a great source of support and can lead to lifelong friendships. To foster these relationships, we connect our team members with military experience with their peers.
The County Materials Family of Companies has a Gold Business Membership in the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce (WVCC). We proudly support the WVCC’s advocacy efforts on behalf of Wisconsin veterans and appreciate their dedication to promoting opportunities for veterans, military families, and veteran-friendly businesses. We also participate in their Invest in Vets program, which helps local businesses learn how to recruit and retain veteran talent and understand their valuable skills and experiences.

“My military training helped me transition into my role at County Materials, especially when it comes to teamwork. It’s a teamwork-based career, and much of my job flows from the work of other dispatchers and customer service representatives, so we all work together.”
