SkillsUSA Empowers Wisconsin Students at State Leadership and Skills Competition
Every year, SkillsUSA hosts an Annual State Leadership and Skills Conference (SLSC) to provide hands-on learning opportunities about the many technical careers available through various competitions. Masonry, woodworking, and welding were among the competitions that students could choose to participate in. This year, the state-level competition was held on April 1st - 2nd in Madison, Wisconsin, and had over 2,000 participants. Winners of the state competition will move on to the national championship event held June 23- 27, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia.
The SkillsUSA organization provides educational programs, events, and competitions that support career and technical education (CTE) in Wisconsin and the nation’s classrooms to help ensure that America has a skilled workforce.
As a silver-level sponsor of the event, County Materials donates supplies, tools, and funds to enhance local technical education programs. The SkillsUSA organization is one of the many organizations that County Materials is proud to partner with to teach students about the benefits of careers in manufacturing and construction industries.
