In 1982, six churches in the Eau Claire area joined together to feed families struggling to keep food on their tables. Today, Feed My People Food Bank is a leader in hunger-relief efforts across West Central Wisconsin, supplying 16,000 meals a day to those in need.
County Materials supports Feed My People Food Bank in their mission to provide food for anyone facing food insecurity. The organization serves the equivalent of 5.85 million meals through a network of programs and partners, including food pantries, school markets, and more.
One program offered by Feed My People is Project FEED, an initiative to supply meals to youth that lack consistent access to food. The food pantry strives to fill the hunger gap for these students to help them succeed academically and support their physical and emotional wellbeing.
Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, County Materials supports dozens of worthy organizations like Feed My People in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Member & Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
