2012 WMA Excellence in Masonry Awards

Four Wisconsin projects featuring County Materials’ masonry products received state honors at the annual Wisconsin Masonry Alliance-Excellence in Masonry awards held May 3, 2012 at the AIA Wisconsin Convention and Building Products Expo at the Monona Terrace in Madison, Wis.

The Wisconsin Masonry Alliance recognized the following outstanding Masonry projects:

•    Mars’ Cheese Castle, Best of Concrete and Best of Show- Kenosha, Wis. Architect for the project was MSI General. Mason Contractor was J.H. Hassinger. County Materials manufactured oversize decorative Castle Rock and Horizon Sill masonry units.

•    Marathon City Fire Station, Excellence in Concrete- Marathon, Wis. Architect for the project was Short Elliott Hendrickson. General Contractor was Urban Construction Company. Mason Contractor was MV Services. County Materials supplied the oversize decorative concrete masonry units and Heritage Collection Concrete Brick.

•    UW-Oshkosh Sage Hall, Best of Clay- Oshkosh, Wis. Architect for the project was Berners Schober Assoc. General Contractor was J.P. Cullen. The products supplied by County Materials include Endicott Clay Brick and Premier Block Ultra Burnished masonry units.

•    St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Excellence in Clay- Mosinee, Wis. Architect for the project was Blue Design Group, LLC. General Contractor was Ellis Stone Construction. Mason Contractor was Pete Lang Masonry. Featured on the project was Cloud Ceramic brick supplied by County Materials.
