Building Stronger Families with the YWCA of Rock County
The YWCA of Rock County is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. The organization’s mission is accomplished through five key programs: Child Care, Alternatives to Violence, Transitions, CARE House, and Racial Justice and Immigrant Outreach. These services work towards YWCA’s vision of transforming lives and communities through education and action.
One of the YWCA’s programs supported by County Materials is the Rock County Child Care Program, an after-school program that provides a nurturing, creative space for kids to learn and grow. One mother of a child in the program shared, “As a working parent, to have a program to rely on that is affordable and convenient is a dream come true. I am able to focus on work, knowing he is safe and having fun.”
County Materials partners with the YWCA and other organizations that support families in our local communities through the Sonnentag American Foundation. The Foundation aligns support with four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Members & Veterans Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
