Concrete Pipe Week: Washington County Minnesota Engineers Stop by County Materials in Roberts, WI During Concrete Pipe Week
On August 23rd, County Materials’ Roberts, WI reinforced concrete pipe facility hosted six members of Washington County’s Public Works office for a plant tour in recognition of National Concrete Pipe Week.
Washington County, MN sits between the Twin Cities metro area and the Wisconsin border. The county of 250,000 people includes the communities of Woodbury, Cottage Grove, Lake Elmo, and Still Water. With the county having 684 lakes and sitting between the confluences of the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers, storm water management is a major factor in keeping these communities running. Engineers in the Washington County Public Works department play an important role in the decision-making process for local infrastructure, which is why industry tours and education is a crucial effort during National Concrete Pipe week.
