On March 22nd, 2019, US Congressman Greg Pence toured County Materials Corporation’s concrete pipe and precast manufacturing facility in Maxwell, IN. Location Manager Jeff Allen and Technical Resource Engineer Steve Smart, spoke with Congressman Pence about County Materials’ long manufacturing history, the vital role concrete pipe plays in building storm water management systems for communities, and the positive impact the company has in Indiana’s 6th Congressional District.

“Anytime we have the opportunity for legislators or other government officials, students, engineers or industry professionals to see what we do, we take that opportunity,” said Jeff Allen. “It was an honor to have Congressman Pence at our facility and discuss the industry’s growth and the concerns over legislation that would take decision-making away from the engineers, where it belongs.”

County Materials frequently hosts plant tours and promotes industry education. Congressman Pence’s visit is just one example of how County Materials fulfills its Vision of Success, Stability and Support.
