Kids Building Wisconsin is a free, educational event for kids to learn about the construction industry through fun activities. Kids Building Wisconsin takes place annually at McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg, WI, and features over 50 interactive exhibits and workshops hosted by local manufacturing and construction businesses. This year’s event included boom lift rides, a demo wall, crane activities, a playhouse giveaway, aluminum boat building, and much more. Nearly 8,000 people attended to learn about manufacturing and construction.
This year, County Materials was a Bronze sponsor of Kids Building Wisconsin and hosted a booth to educate children in masonry construction. Our booth featured an interactive building station where children could try on professional hard hats and safety vests and build structures with play blocks. The kids and their families enjoyed learning about masonry.
