County Materials Partners with Habitat for Humanity to Support Students Learning Skilled Trades

Mar 21, 2025

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that supports families in building and improving affordable homes. Committed to strengthening communities, Habitat for Humanity provides safe, affordable housing, leading to better health, safety, child development, economic opportunities, and educational outcomes.

In 2024, County Materials partnered with Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity to support a Habitat Youth Build, an initiative that provides students with hands-on training in construction, equipping them with practical skills like operating construction equipment and installing drywall while fostering teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership. Working alongside experienced volunteers, industry professionals, and Habitat staff, students receive mentorship and learn about careers in the skilled trades.

County Materials, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, supports dozens of worthy organizations and causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
