County Materials Partners with the Find, Feed & Restore Foundation to Provide Housing Solutions for Homeless Families with Children

Mar 28, 2025

The Find, Feed & Restore Foundation assists homeless families with children to find stable housing to grow and develop in. The foundation started out providing food, career development, computer training, and job placement assistance but soon realized that families with children needed a stable environment to call home to flourish.

The foundation offers four programs – Care Coach Mobile Unit, Affordable Housing, Housing First, and Homelessness Avoidance. The Care Coach Mobile Unit provides hot meals, fresh fruit, housing assistance, and health screening services to local underserved & low-income communities. The foundation’s Affordable Housing program provides permanent housing solutions by allowing working families to keep more of their income for other essentials such as food, medicine, education, childcare, and transportation. The Housing First program assists homeless families with children to live rent & utility free for 6 to 12 months, while the Find, Feed & Restore Foundation helps them get back on their feet. The foundation’s Homelessness Avoidance program provides temporary financial assistance to help cover rent/mortgages and utilities for families experiencing unexpected economic shocks to avoid homelessness.

Within the last eight years, the Find, Feed & Restore Foundation has helped house 241 children and 326 individuals. Currently, they help house more than 100 individuals.

County Materials, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, supports dozens of local organizations and causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
