County Materials Sponsors Bricklayer 500 to Showcase Skilled Masons

This year, County Materials was a gold sponsor for Spec Mix’s Bricklayer 500. Spec Mix is a leader in the construction industry and delivers high quality performance products and project solutions for construction professionals. Each year, the company hosts the Bricklayer 500 to showcase the skill and dedication of up-and-coming masons.
The Bricklayer 500 tests the speed, skill, and stamina of the competing bricklayers. Participants have one hour to build a 26-foot-long brick wall, and the masons with the tallest, highest quality walls win. One mason per regional competition advances to Las Vegas at the World of Concrete trade show to compete for the title of “World’s Best Bricklayer.”
This year, the event was held in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. As a gold sponsor, County Materials hosted a booth at the event and supported Marathon High School students Carter Holte and Mason Mroczenski as they competed and won second place.
