Located in De Pere, WI, Exceptional Equestrians is a non-profit organization that provides hippotherapy, adaptive riding, and equine-assisted learning programs to children, teens, and adults throughout Northeastern Wisconsin. The programs help promote and improve physical health, cognitive development, communication, community integration, and emotional wellbeing.
Through the Sonnentag Foundation, County Materials supported the addition of the Exceptional Equestrians’ Sensory Trail and will be sponsoring a horse through their Horse Sponsorship Program. The trail features slopes, turns, natural sights and sounds, and other activities to enhance sensory processing. The course also offers a peaceful walking section for family members to accompany. Our sponsorship provides an entire year of food, housing, and top-notch care for the vital equine.
Through the Sonnentag Foundation, County Materials supports dozens of charitable organizations in four key service areas: Service Member & Veteran Support, Hunger & Homelessness Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
