We are proud to recognize Chris Thorne, Executive Vice President of the Florida Concrete Products Division, for driving growth across Central Florida on behalf of the County Materials Family of Companies.
Chris’s responsibilities include oversight of operations, sales, and administrative functions for our facility in Astatula, Florida, including ready-mix, concrete masonry, and precast concrete operations. He also serves on our organization’s Executive Leadership Team.
Since joining the County Materials organization in 2021, Chris has played an essential role in growing market share and increasing our production footprint in Central Florida while building a growth-focused culture and team of more than 100 people. With over 35 years of industry experience, 23 of which he's worked in Florida, Chris has a proven track record of building new facilities from the ground up, expanding operations, diversifying product offerings, and developing effective teams.

Chris is implementing multiple growth-focused strategic initiatives in our Astatula facility, specifically in constructing and operating new ready-mix plants, a fleet of delivery trucks, a new block plant, and a precast production facility that is increasing our capacity to produce new precast lines. Additionally, our Florida Concrete Products Division will be launching products to the Central Florida market within the year.
Our products will uniquely position the County Materials Family of Companies as a “one-stop shop” producer for concrete products that tie directly to our residential and commercial projects in Central Florida.
