Fighting Hunger with the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen

Mar 13, 2024

The Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen has been serving food in the Greenfield community since 2009. The kitchen was established in memory of past fire chief, Kenneth Butler, who dedicated his life to helping people in his community. In honor of him, the organization’s vision is that the world will see that a community can exist without hunger. The kitchen serves food to the community five days a week.

County Materials partners with the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen to meet community needs. The organization recently remodeled their building to install additional shelving and maximize space. This renovation will allow the soup kitchen to offer more meals and help more individuals and families within the Greenfield community.

County Materials, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, supports dozens of local organizations and causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
