County Materials partners with Patriot K9s of Wisconsin to fight the post-traumatic stress that affects many veterans in the United States. Each day, approximately 22 US veterans with PTS die by suicide. Patriot K9s of Wisconsin is helping veterans in Central Wisconsin win the war against suicide, depression, and anxiety by pairing them with service dogs specially trained in post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, and military sexual incident. Through these partnerships, the veteran and the service dog receive a second chance at life, as dogs are rescued from local shelters and trained to become highly skilled emotional support companions.
Patriot K9s of Wisconsin provides training and education to veterans, service members, and service dog candidates to create the highest quality Service Dog Team at no cost to veterans and active-duty service members.

We partner with organizations that support individuals in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Members & Veterans Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
