Partnering with Sojourner Family Peace Center to Break Cycles of Violence
Sojourner Family Peace Center has been helping families affected by domestic violence since 1975. The organization is currently the largest nonprofit provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services in Wisconsin and serves nearly 8,000 individuals each year. County Materials partners with Sojourner to fight domestic violence and support survivors in our communities. In addition to a 24-hour crisis line, Sojourner provides case management, psychotherapy services, crisis housing, and programs to help victims achieve safety, justice, and well-being.
Sojourner is located at the Family Peace Center, one of the country’s first co-located child advocacy and family violence centers. The organization offers a single stop for families affected by domestic violence, providing the services and support survivors need to attain safety and healing under one roof.
County Materials, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, partners with local organizations to give back to our communities. Each year, the Sonnentag American Foundation supports dozens of worthy causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
