This project in South Bend, Indiana, centered around updating the homeowners’ pool deck to create a vibrant outdoor entertainment space. The existing poured concrete pool deck was recreated with large Grand Discover® paving stones featuring a smooth surface texture in warm beige and gray tones. An old Koi Pond was replaced with a large pavilion that highlights a gas fireplace and seat wall. Adding interest and luxury to this fireside seating area, two sets of large textured pavers were arranged rectangularly with an elegant border constructed using Elements™ Paving Stones in Vision to create an inviting accent space resembling an area rug.
County Materials’ Summit Stone® Landscape Units®Summit Stone® Landscape Units were used to build the fireplace as well as an outdoor kitchen and fire table near the pool. The kitchen includes a wide bar with a built-in refrigerator, stovetop, and grill. The warm multi-colored surface complements the surrounding pavers and pool.
