A group of structural engineers from Civil Design, Inc. toured County Materials’ Salem facility to get a first-hand look at how the prestressed bridge girders they specify are manufactured and tested for lasting performance. County Materials’ Salem plant is certified by the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute, the industry’s most comprehensive and trusted certification program. It was the first time the nine engineers visited a prestress production facility and provided a valuable learning experience about concrete manufacturing and industry best practices. They were led by County Materials’ representatives from operations, quality control, and sales.
