Supporting Veterans Through Wounded Warriors United of Wisconsin

Aug 6, 2025

Since 2014, Wounded Warriors United of Wisconsin has helped veterans reconnect with nature through activities like hunting, fishing, sports, camping, and social events. These programs allow veterans to experience the healing power of the outdoors while also building camaraderie and support.

The County Materials Family of Companies partners with Wounded Warriors to maintain County Haven Farm, a 7-acre private retreat for veterans and their families to unwind and enjoy the Northwoods. The farm features a 35-foot deluxe travel trailer where visitors can stay free of charge. Guests can interact with the farm’s friendly animals, which include goats, pigs, cows, and miniature donkeys.

Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, the County Materials Family of Companies supports organizations like Wounded Warriors United of Wisconsin that uplift and empower veterans. We provide support in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Member & Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
