Mid-State Technical College has helped individuals meet their educational goals for more than 100 years. Today, Mid-State serves nearly 3,000 students a year, providing hands-on training to prepare them for success in vocational careers, including jobs in the manufacturing industry. The college offers various opportunities from coursework to associate degrees, enhancing local communities with a skilled workforce and economic viability.
County Materials recently donated to Mid-State’s Wayne H. Bushman Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, and Apprenticeship (AMETA) Center in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. AMETA apprenticeships combine structured on-the-job training with related classroom instruction, providing students access to careers that typically require experience. Individuals can choose from various programs, including maintenance technician, mechanic, construction electrician, and more. Many of these apprenticeship opportunities align with careers in the manufacturing industry.
“The AMETA Center represents innovation, collaboration, and a shared vision for success in manufacturing. We’re excited to be part of a movement that will positively impact lives, businesses, and the region for years to come,” said Rebecca Sonnentag, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
Hands-on technical education is life-changing, and County Materials is proud to invest in the future workforce of concrete manufacturing. Careers in manufacturing and skilled trades offer stability and purpose while contributing to safer, stronger communities.
