U.S. Congressman Daniel Webster Tours County Materials’ Astatula Concrete Pipe Facility
Recently, U.S. Congressman Daniel Webster toured County Materials’ Astatula, FL, concrete pipe manufacturing facility. During the visit, Webster saw firsthand how County Materials manufactures concrete products and learned why it’s inherently stronger than other materials, making it a more reliable choice for infrastructure projects.
As a member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, Congressman Webster has jurisdiction over clean water and wastewater management, flood damage reduction, urban and rural development, and disaster preparedness, all of which concrete pipe plays a valuable role in. After the Astatula plant tour, he wrote, "As Florida continues to experience rapid growth, it’s important that our communities and infrastructure are built with quality materials.”
County Materials plant tours hosted for public leaders, industry professionals, and students show how concrete pipe is made and the value it provides in building long-lasting infrastructure. Additionally, County Materials demonstrates how the concrete manufacturing industry creates worthwhile career opportunities across the country. Facility tours underscore the indisputable contributions that concrete pipe producers, their team members, and their customers make to the American economy, environment, and local communities.
