Brent Coulthart is a project manager with County Materials. Before he launched his career in concrete manufacturing, he served five years active duty and three years inactive duty with the U.S. Marine Corps as a sergeant.
Brent shares that he believes the concrete manufacturing industry is a good fit for veterans looking to build civilian careers after their military service.
“I believe that County Materials is a good place for any veteran that’s willing to be challenged,” he says. “They are very veteran-oriented, and they do care about their veterans. ”
A career in concrete manufacturing requires adaptability and tenacity, just like a military career. County Materials actively recruits veterans and service members because they consistently bring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, commitment to teamwork, and leadership skills that drive our company’s performance.
We are committed to helping veterans launch their civilian career immediately. We provide on-the-job training and require no additional credentialing or education for many positions with great growth potential. Our culture emphasizes leadership development and we equip our leaders with the skills needed to excel.
“I enjoy working with the different people here in the office and the opportunity to work with different customers in this growing industry,” Brent says. “It’s rewarding to be a part of a division that’s growing so rapidly.”
Supporting veterans and service members in their transition back into civilian life is a priority for County Materials. We have a Gold Business Membership in the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce (WVCC) and proudly support the chamber’s advocacy efforts on behalf of Wisconsin veterans. We also participate in their Invest in Vets program, which helps local businesses learn how to recruit and retain veteran talent and understand how they provide value.
