Supporting Heroes and Hounds: Partnering with Patriot K9s of Wisconsin

Patriot K9s of Wisconsin is a non-profit organization with a mission to improve the lives of veterans and service members through the healing power of service dogs. With an estimated 22 veterans lost to suicide each day, the need for mental health support is urgent. To address this issue, County Materials partners with Patriot K9s of Wisconsin to help combat post-traumatic stress, depression, and anxiety among veterans in Central Wisconsin.

Rescued from local shelters, the service dogs are trained to become highly skilled emotional support companions, equipped to assist with challenges related to PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and military sexual trauma. Patriot K9s of Wisconsin offers this life-changing training and education at no cost to veterans, forming strong, effective Service Dog Teams.

Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, County Materials supports worthy organizations like Patriot K9s. We partner with organizations that support individuals in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Member & Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
